The Silent Depths Update

The first time I found the Ancient City, I thought I had reached the end of the world.

The caves had already gone quiet—too quiet. No mobs, no water, not even the usual echoes. Just silence… and then I saw it. Endless stone structures stretching into darkness, lit by faint, ghostly blue. The Deep Dark.

​

Every step felt wrong. The ground itself seemed alive, covered in strange blocks that pulsed softly beneath my feet. I didn’t understand them at first—until one misstep sent a shriek through the cavern.

​

That’s when I learned to fear sound.

I moved slower after that, placing each step carefully, watching the shadows between the ruins. In the center of the city, I found it: a massive frame, built from materials I had never seen before. It wasn’t broken. It wasn’t decoration.

​

It was waiting.

The structure hummed faintly, like it was breathing. Ancient carvings lined its edges, worn but deliberate. This wasn’t something natural. Someone—or something—had built this long ago.

​

A portal.

​

But not like the ones I knew.

No fire. No glow. Just darkness inside the frame, deeper than anything around it. When I got closer, the air grew colder. Heavier. Like the world itself didn’t want me there.

​

Then I heard it again—a distant vibration beneath the city.

​

Not a sound… a warning.

I realized then: this place wasn’t abandoned.

​

It was sealed.

And whatever lies beyond that portal… was never meant to be found.
